WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT

STEP 1: CONSULTATION (20 MIN)

  • Consent Form: You will fill our a consent form at the beginning of your appointment.

  • Symmetry Analysis: Using a symmetry app, we will analyze your brows to determine their symmetry and identify any areas that may need special attention or correction. The app also allows us to point out facial landmarks that your artist will use to create the best shape to frame your facial features.

  • Discussion of Preferences: We will review the various brow techniques (Nano Hairstrokes, Power Shading, and Nanoshading Combo) and discuss each of their advantages to determine which style would be best to help achieve your brow goals. We will also look at a variety of pictures to discuss options for shape, thickness, and healed vs fresh color in order to understand your preferences.

STEP 2: BROW MAPPING (20 MIN) AND PRE-NUMB (10 MIN)

  • Using our measuring tools, we’ll custom design a brow outline that’s best proportioned to your facial features and bone structure. We’ll both review the design, double check how they match using the symmetry app, and make any adjustments necessary.

  • Once the brows are approved, we’ll clean up any excess hairs outside of the shape, and apply pre-numbing for 10 minutes.

STEP 3: PROCEDURE (1.5-2 HOURS)

Most nano hair strokes require 2 passes or layers of color, while shading areas typically require 2-4 passes or layers.

  • First Pass:
  • The artist begins with the first pass to create the basic hair stroke pattern and outline.
  • Pre-numbing cream is applied before the first pass, ensuring a comfortable experience for most clients, who often describe the pain as minimal, around 1 or 2 on a scale of 1-10.
  • A secondary numbing cream is applied, it works very quickly (30 seconds). Clients generally report feeling minimal to no pain, typically scoring it as 0 to 1 on a scale of 1-10.
  • At this point, the artist may show you the initial design without the outline to give you a clearer idea of how the brow is shaping up.
 
  • Additional Passes:
  • The artist proceeds with 1 or 2 more passes on the first side of nano hair strokes and/or shading.
  • The artist will then switch sides and repeat the process for the second brow, often showing you the progress step by step.

STEP 4: AFTERCARE

We will review after care instructions with you and provide you with an aftercare kit that includes everything you’ll need for the initial healing period of 7-10 days. It’s crucial that you follow the aftercare instructions to achieve the best results and retention for your brows.

WHILE YOUR SKIN HEALS, BE PREPARED FOR THE COLOR INTENSITY OF YOUR PROCEDURE TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER, SHARPER, BRIGHTER, OR DARKER than what is expected for the final outcome. This is a normal and expected result of the application and healing process. The healing process will take a number of days to complete, depending on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates and new skin regrows to take its place.
