Aftercare instructions

Please diligently follow the given advice, post treatment care makes 50% of the total treatment success. The goal of aftercare is regularly cleaning lymph to prevent heavy crusty scabbing, which can lead to poor healed results.

AFTER CARE CLEANING PROCEDURES:

• Rinse/Blot: Press and dab eyebrows with wet cotton round to rinse and prevent lymph build-up. 
• Ointment: With q-tip apply a small thin film of ointment to each eyebrow. (about the size of a rice grain) Just barely enough to cover, a little goes a long way!
• Day 1 (Day of Procedure)
  
  • Microblading, Dry/Normal skin: Rinse/Blot every hour for the first 3 hours, then one more time at bedtime. Apply ointment once at night. (ex. 12p, 1p, 2p, 10p+ ointment at 10p
  • Microshading, Combination/Oily skin: Rinse/Blot every 30 min for the first 3 hours (6 times total) then one more time at bedtime. Apply ointment once at night. (ex. 12p, 12:30p, 1p, 1:30pm, 2p, 2:30pm, 10p+ ointment at 10p
    
• Day 2-7: Apply ointment only (no blotting required) every night or as needed (2-3x a day) especially if brows feel itchy or dry.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR THE FIRST 7-10 DAYS:

• DO NOT RUB, SCRATCH, OR PICK AT THE TREATED AREA! Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause pigment to be pulled out of strokes.
• Sleep on your back.
• Avoid direct water on the treated area after the procedure.
  • Wash your face in the sink and rinse with a washcloth (no splashing face).
  • Use a brow shield when washing hair in shower. Don’t get your face wet in shower. Keep the treated area as dry as possible! When scabbing and flaking is done you can shower normally, usually 7-10 days.
• No sweating or exercising for 7-10 days or until brow are done scabbing/flaking.
• No swimming , sunbathing, sauna for 7-10 days or until brow are done scabbing/flaking.
• Avoid cosmetic makeup and any skin care products in the brow area for 7-10 days or until brow are done scabbing/flaking.
• No botox, facials, or chemical peels for 4 weeks.
• Always wear sunscreen and protect your skin for longer lasting brows..
